- 25/3: Bangkok to Amsterdam (via Cairo and Munich), which took us the best of a day.

- 22/3: Saigon to Bangkok, by plane (1 hr)
- 21/3: Nha Trang to Saigon, by plane late in the evening (1 hr)
- 17/3: Danang to Nha Trang, by train (9 hrs)
- 16/3: Hue to Danang, by train (2.5 hrs)
- 13/3: Hoi An to Hue, by another rented car (3 hours)
- 10/3: Kon Tum to Hoi An, last day of our rented car (9 hrs)
- 9/3: Buon Ma Thuot to Kon Tum, by the same car (7 hrs, same thing)
- 8/3: Dalat to Buon Ma Thuot, by rented car (9 hrs, again with many stops on the way)
- 6/3: Saigon to Dalat, by rented car (9 hrs, including tourist stops on the way)
- 2/3: My Tho to Saigon, by bus (1.5 hrs)
- 28/2: Can Tho to My Tho, by bus (3 hrs)
- 26/2: Chau Doc to Can Tho, by minivan (2.5 hrs)
- 25/2: Phnom Penh to Chau Doc, just inside Vietnam, by boat (5 hrs)
- 24/2: Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, by luxery bus (still boring, again 6 hrs)
- 20/2: Battambang to Siem Reap/Angkor Wat, by public ferry (9 hrs)
- 18/2: Phnom Penh to Battambang, by bus (almost 6 boring hrs)
- 17/2: Kep to Phnom Penh, by bus (3.5 hrs again)
- 14/2: Phnom Penh to Kep, by bus (3.5 hrs)
- 10/2: Kratie to Phnom Penh, by comfy bus (7 hrs)
- 8/2: Don Khone, cross the Laos-Cambodia border at Dong Kralor, and to Kratie (a small boat and various busses, total 7 hours, of which most was waiting time)
- 6/2: Champassak to Don Khone, by car, including d-tour to Paksong and Pakse
- 4/2: Tha Kaek to Champassak, as yesterday
- 3/2: Vientiane to Tha Kaek, by car (5 hrs, very comfortable again)
- 31/1: flight from Luang Nam Tha to Vientianne (1 hr)
- 29/1: Muang Sing to Luang Nam Tha (same as yesterday)
- 28/1: Luang Nam Tha to Muang Sing, by minivan (1.5 hrs)
- 26/1: Udomxai to Luang Nam Tha, by bus (3.5 hrs, very comfortable)
- 25/1: Phongsaly to Udomxai, by bus (10 hr mega journey, but plenty of stops on the way)
- 22/1: Muang Khua to Hat Se by river boat (6 hrs), then truck to Phongsaly (1 hr)
- 21/1: Nong Kiuaw to Muang Khua, by river boat (5 hrs)
- 20/1: Luang Prabang to Nong Kiauw on the Nam Ou, by river boat (7 hrs)
- 17/1: Bangkok to Luang Prabang, by plane
- 15/1 departed from Amsterdam, arrived next day (16/1) in Bangkok
